HeyDal Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 29, 2026
This policy explains how YoungWon Studio handles information in HeyDal. Contact: contact@youngwonstudio.com .
1. Accounts and Information Received by Us
HeyDal does not require its own account or sign-in. YoungWon Studio does not operate a server that collects your events or tasks. When you contact us by email, we receive your email address and message so that we can respond.
2. On-device Storage and Optional iCloud Sync
By default, the tasks, events, lists, tags and preferences you create in HeyDal are stored on your device. We do not upload this content to our servers or access it. Device backups are managed according to your operating system and backup settings.
In versions that support iCloud Sync, you can enable it in Settings to sync HeyDal-created tasks and events, notes, dates and time zones, completion state, item colors, project/tag definitions and their organization through Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in the private database of your iCloud account and synced to your devices using that account. YoungWon Studio does not operate a content-sync server or receive access to your private iCloud database.
Sync is off by default, is optional and does not require a Lifetime purchase. Both enabling and disabling it take effect when you reopen the app. Apple Calendar and Reminders originals, device-specific settings, widget action queues, Undo history and purchases are not included in this sync. If the iCloud account changes, the app stops the old sync session, preserves the old local data and requests a restart and fresh opt-in before using a separate store for the new account.
3. Optional Apple Calendar and Reminders Connections
Connections are optional. With your permission, HeyDal displays selected calendar and reminder sources on your device and changes the corresponding records when you request actions such as saving, completing or deleting an item. You can use local HeyDal items without granting these permissions.
Connected accounts may sync through Apple or your calendar provider. The account provider’s settings and policies govern its storage, sync and deletion. You can change access in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
4. Widgets
The app and its widgets share a local snapshot through on-device App Group storage. Event and task details may be visible on the home screen, Lock Screen or other places where you put a widget. Widget actions update the corresponding item at your request.
5. Advertising, Tracking and Analytics
HeyDal does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics or a separate third-party crash-reporting SDK. If you open a support, terms or privacy page in an external browser, that website’s privacy practices apply.
6. In-App Purchases
Optional HeyDal Lifetime purchases and restoration are handled through Apple’s App Store payment system and StoreKit. Apple handles payment details; we do not receive credit card or similar payment information. The app processes purchase entitlement status to determine available features and shares the necessary status locally with its widgets.
7. Third-party Transfers and Sharing
We do not sell or provide your event and task content to third parties for advertising or analytics. Optional iCloud processing is described in section 2. Processing by the Apple or calendar accounts you connect is described in section 3. HeyDal does not provide public posts, shared lists or a content export service.
8. Retention and Deletion
You can edit or delete items in the app. Removing HeyDal removes its local app data subject to operating-system behavior and device backups. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete calendar or reminder records held by connected accounts.
With iCloud sync enabled, deleting an item propagates its removal from the current synced view. Synchronization retains change history, including earlier content and deletion records, to prevent deleted items from reappearing. Deleting an item does not erase this history. Turning sync off or removing the app keeps existing iCloud data; local edits made while sync is off may sync when the same account is reconnected. iCloud storage and its management are subject to Apple’s settings and terms.
Support emails are used to handle your request and may be retained for up to one year after resolution, or longer if retention is required by law. To request deletion of support information, contact us below.
9. Questions and Requests
Send privacy questions or requests to delete support emails to contact@youngwonstudio.com . We will review your request and provide appropriate assistance.
10. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy and its effective date when the app or its data practices change. Important changes will be communicated through the app or website.
