Renio Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

YoungWon Studio (“Company”) values your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This policy applies to the Renio application (“App”) provided by the Company.

1. Data We Directly Collect #

We do not directly collect any personal information through our App. The App does not require registration or login.

If you contact us via email for support, your email address may be collected and will be retained for up to 1 year after the inquiry is resolved.

2. Local Data Storage #

All app data — expiry items (titles, categories, expiry dates, costs, notes, etc.) — is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. The Company has no access to this data.

3. iCloud Sync (CloudKit) #

If you enable iCloud sync, your expiry item data is stored in your iCloud account and synced across your devices via Apple CloudKit.

  • This data resides on Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. The Company does not have access to it.
  • For Apple’s data practices, please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Renio.

4. Camera Access (Document Scan) #

The App may access your device camera for document scanning (OCR) to automatically detect expiry dates from documents such as passports, insurance cards, and certificates.

  • Camera images are processed entirely on your device and are not stored, transmitted, or uploaded to any server.
  • Only the extracted information (dates, document names) confirmed by the user is saved in the app.
  • You can use the App without granting camera access — all other features work normally.

5. Siri & Shortcuts (App Intents) #

The App integrates with Siri and Shortcuts via the App Intents framework, allowing you to add items and check expiry information using voice commands. Siri processes voice input at the system level — the App does not access, store, or transmit any voice data.

6. Advertising #

Renio does not display any advertisements. No advertising-related data is collected.

7. In-App Purchases #

Premium features are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payment information (credit cards, etc.) is handled by Apple, and we do not have access to your payment details.

8. Data Deletion #

  • Local data: Deleting the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
  • iCloud data: You can delete iCloud data in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Renio.
