PixTerm Privacy Policy

YoungWon Studio (“Company”) values your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This policy applies to the PixTerm application (“App”) provided by the Company.

1. Data We Directly Collect

The App does not require a YoungWon Studio account. We do not operate an analytics, advertising, tracking, terminal relay, file relay, VNC relay, SSH hosting, or hosted desktop service for PixTerm. We do not receive your SSH or VNC profiles, credentials, terminal content, selected files, commands, upload history, remote-screen pixels, or remote input through the App.

If you contact us by email for support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We retain support correspondence for up to one year after the inquiry is resolved, unless a longer period is required by law.

2. Local Data and Credentials

SSH and VNC profile metadata, upload records, saved commands, and settings are stored locally on your device. SSH passwords, VNC passwords, private keys, passphrases, and known-host fingerprints are stored in the device Keychain. Selected files may be staged temporarily in the App’s Application Support storage for preparation, upload, recovery, and cleanup. Remote-screen frames are held only as needed for the active VNC session and are not saved as an App history.

YoungWon Studio cannot access this local data. You can remove profiles, keys, trusted hosts, upload history, and related local data from the App’s security and cleanup controls. Deleting the App removes its local container, while data already sent to a remote server remains subject to that server’s storage and deletion policies.

PixTerm does not use iCloud or CloudKit to sync SSH or VNC profiles, credentials, or upload data.

3. Direct SSH, SFTP, and VNC Connections

PixTerm connects directly to an SSH server that you configure. Terminal input, terminal output, credentials used for authentication, and files selected for upload are exchanged with that server as required to provide the feature. They are not routed through a YoungWon Studio server.

SFTP is used only to upload an image, document, or file that you explicitly select. The App does not provide general remote file browsing or download features. The SSH server operator may process or retain data according to its configuration and privacy practices. You are responsible for choosing a server you trust, have permission to access, and are authorized to upload content to.

PixTerm can also connect directly to a VNC endpoint that you configure. VNC authentication credentials, remote-screen pixels, pointer and keyboard actions, special-key actions, and text you explicitly choose to send are exchanged directly with that endpoint. They are not routed through a YoungWon Studio server. A linked SSH profile is optional and its credentials remain separate.

VNC compatibility depends on the security types and encodings negotiated with the server. Classic VNC sessions may not be encrypted. PixTerm displays a transport warning, but it does not independently verify a VNC server’s identity in the same way that SSH host-key verification does. Use only endpoints you trust and are authorized to access.

4. Photos, Files, and Clipboard

The App uses Apple’s system photo and file pickers so that you choose the individual item to process. PixTerm does not request broad photo-library access for its standard photo selection flow.

The clipboard is read only after you use an explicit paste or text-transfer control. PixTerm does not monitor the clipboard in the background. Selected content is used only for the SSH upload or VNC text transfer you request and is not sent to YoungWon Studio.

5. Local Network

PixTerm may request Local Network access when you connect to an SSH server or VNC endpoint on your local network. The permission is used only to reach the address you choose.

6. In-App Purchase

PixTerm Pro is processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple handles payment information, and YoungWon Studio does not receive your full payment card details. The App uses verified StoreKit transaction information on your device to determine access to purchased features.

7. Advertising and Tracking

PixTerm does not display third-party advertisements and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

8. Security

PixTerm provides SSH host-key fingerprint review and stores credentials in the device Keychain. VNC does not use PixTerm’s SSH host-key trust flow, and classic VNC may transmit the session without encryption. No method of electronic storage or network transmission is completely secure. Protect your device, review SSH host fingerprints, use a trusted network or separately secured tunnel when appropriate, and connect only to endpoints you trust.

9. Children

PixTerm is a developer tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
